Haiku poetry captures in succinct form the developmental characteristics present in Anna Giesenberg's seven developmental domains that affect spirituality. The seven domains that are important to a child's spirituality are social, cognitive, moral, self awareness, emotional, creative, and faith/belief development. [More from Module 2]
Module 3: play & spirituality
Wonder, awe, exploration, creativity, problem solving and collaboration are aspects of play. The four elements of holistic development (social-emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual) were incorporated into an arts-based structured play experience and were witnessed in unstructured play. module 4: inner character
The Virtues Feast provided an opportunity for me and my dinner guests to embody various virtues. Through our actions and dialogue during the feast, we expressed values that we esteem. We portrayed virtues such as generosity, assertiveness, and cleanliness, among others.

module 5: ritual
The ritual of the meal blessing helps guests around my table to make meaning of our time of fellowship and food. The ritual includes repetition, actuation, stylization, order, an evocative style within a group setting and bridges the sacred and profane realities. [More from Module 5]

Each of us embodies special virtues that define our character. We have unique talents and gifts that we offer the world. The 'Seed Pod of Purpose' activity helps us recognize these special attributes in ourselves, and in others, and contributes to our sense of purpose. [More from Module 6]
module 7: fostering hope
Art-making embodies the attributes of hope. Hope allows one to envision a better future for oneself and the world and identify the steps one can take to realize the goal of realizing this dream. The experience of designing a "hope box" is a great way to envision hope using creativity and art-making. [More from Module 7]
